The Jefferson County PAGenWeb Project respects your privacy. We do not collect personal information from visitors except as necessary to respond to your inquiries or maintain basic website functionality.
This site is a volunteer-run, non-commercial resource dedicated to providing free genealogical and historical information.

- Contact Forms: When you send a message using our Contact Form, your name, email address, and message are transmitted securely through FormSubmit and delivered directly to the county coordinator’s email inbox. No data is stored on this website.
- Server Logs: Our web host (through pagenweb.org) automatically records standard technical data—such as browser type, referring URL, and access time—for routine security and maintenance. These logs do not identify individual users.
- No Cookies: This site does not set tracking cookies or use analytics that store personal information.
How We Use Information
- To respond to your questions or requests for assistance.
- To maintain site security and ensure accessibility of volunteer-provided resources.
- To contact you (only if you have reached out first) regarding contributions, corrections, or updates.

Contributor Submissions
Submitted transcriptions, photos, and historical materials remain the property of the contributor. By submitting material, contributors grant the Jefferson County PAGenWeb Project permission to display it online for free genealogical research purposes.
Contributor names and email addresses may be listed publicly if provided, solely for citation and credit purposes.
Data Security
Email messages sent through the contact form are encrypted in transit by FormSubmit and delivered directly to the coordinator’s inbox. No personal data is retained on the hosting server.
Your Choices
- You may contact the coordinator at any time to request removal or correction of submitted material that includes your personal data.
- If you wish to remain anonymous when contributing transcriptions or photos, please indicate this in your submission email.
